About Redline
An 8-bit motorbike run through a cave, in the spirit of the 1983 game Wheelie. You never steer. You only control the throttle, and your speed decides how far you jump, so you need the right speed before you reach each gap. Pop a wheelie over rubble for extra points, stay flat under low roofs, brake for bats and keep an eye on the fuel. Every 500 metres there's a gate, and it gets harder after each one.
How to play
- Desktop: β or D throttle, β or A brake, Space or β jump, β or S wheelie.
- Phone: four pads under the screen: brake, gas, jump and wheelie.
- Hold a wheelie too long and the bike flips over backwards.
Tips
- If a gap looks long, you needed more speed a few seconds ago.
- Do wheelies on the straights, not into the unknown. You can't jump with the front wheel up.
- Short wheelies score almost as much as long ones and never flip you.
- Fuel left at a gate is worth points, so don't waste it.
FAQ
Is it free? Do I need an account? It's free, paid for by ads. No account: you only type a name if you want to post a score.
Does it work on a phone? It does, with four pads, but it's easier with a keyboard.
Why can't I steer? Because the game is about the throttle. Picking your speed is the whole challenge.
