Corporate editions

A browser game made for one department. Your logo, your colleagues as the characters, your in-jokes as the enemies, and one leaderboard shared by every machine at your stand. It's for demo days, company events and away days, where people queue up for a short turn each.

This is the one thing on Alftanet that costs money. The 18 games on the front page are free and stay free.

Why a private game

Our public games are made so anyone can pick them up. A corporate edition is the opposite: it's only funny if you work there. The enemies are the things your team really deals with, the hero is someone everyone in the room knows, and the jokes are the ones people already tell in the kitchen. That's why it works at a stand, and it's also why it isn't on this site.

How a turn works

Three lives and no clock. The waves get harder until they beat you, so most turns last about a minute. Someone walks up and starts playing straight away, with no form and no sign-up. If they want to be on the wallboard they type a name at the end. Plenty of people don't bother.

Stand-in figures. A real edition uses photos of the actual team, which is most of the joke, and those never appear on this page.

What you get

It stays private

A corporate edition isn't listed on this site and search engines don't index it. It runs on its own address, behind a short code printed at your stand, and it has no ads at all. We don't put photos of your staff next to an advert. After the event you get the scores as a file, then they're deleted. Photos are removed whenever you ask.

How to get one

  1. Tell us when the event is. That's all we need to start. The number of machines doesn't change what gets built.
  2. We agree the enemies and the jokes with your team. This is the part that makes it work, and it takes about an hour of someone's time.
  3. You send a logo and, if people are happy with it, photos. Everyone who appears has to agree, and anyone can say no. The game works fine with stand-in figures.
  4. On the day you get a code, an address and a wallboard.
